We had a plumber come out yesterday and give us an estimate. Long story short, we weren't able to get into the house, so the plumber gave us a rough estimate of 7-8k to replace the sewage lines (only ones that are cast iron) but this is without going into the house so that could be totally off. Tomorrow I am meeting with the contractor that added on a second story to my in-laws' house (he is highly recommended), to get a rough estimate on the pipes + electrical + anything else he would insist we should do in the near future. Then it is back to the negotiating table.
